Vladimir Giudici, Chef

Vladimir Giudici (22 years old)  obtained a Hospitality & Catering  Level 4 Diploma (EQF Level 5) in 2016 at Cometa Formazione, Como, Italy.  Currently he works as Demi Chef de Rang at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. 

Could you briefly describe your current position?

I am currently working as a Demi Chef de Rang for Mandarin Oriental Lago di Como seasonally.

How did you get there? 

After my graduation from Cometa Formazione, I enrolled in IATH – International Academy of Tourism and Hospitality (EQF V). After the diploma, I’ve sent my CV to the Hotel and the day after I received a call from the HR manager of the Mandarin Oriental.

Looking back, what’s the most valuable aspect of your VET School experience?

The people that motivated me to grow as much as I could.

Would you recommend your VET school to others? Why?

Oh yes, because from there you can have an overview of what you could do in this field.

Do you (or would you like to) stay in touch with your former VET School? How? Why?

I do and I will continue to stay in contact with all of them. It is my big family.

Who inspires you?

Many people that I got to know had important effects on me, can’t say one name only.e.

What would be the next step in your professional career?

I have plans to move into a Michelin starred restaurant.
